What is Capsul’in®? Capsul’in® is an empty "Use Once Only" capsule compatible with all Nespresso®capsule machines.
Capsul'in® is not compatible with Nespresso® Professional machines or with built-in Nespresso® machines with capsule carousels like the Nespresso® Miele® CVA Series.
Capsul'in® is not compatible with Non-Nespresso® systems i.e. MAP® Coffee, ALDI®, K-Fee® or Saeco® coffee machines.
Why "Use Once Only" and not "Refillable"? The fact is with refillable capsules, unless cleaned with hot soapy water or machine cleaner, both methods degrading (breaking down) the capsule, old coffee oils will build up inside the capsule, spoiling future extractions by making your coffee bitter or losing your crema. "Use Once Only" capsules fix this degradation by having a FreshNew capsule every time. Allowing you to enjoy the best from your Nespresso® machine and Capsul'in® capsule.
Plus, our capsules are made from BPA Free Food Grade plastic in France where there are strictrules on what can and can't be used in the plastic production process. Some other manufacturing countries focussed on mass production don't have these strict controls.
Our capsules are the best choice for quality and taste.
How it works? Fill the capsule with the espresso coffee of your choice, apply the adhesive foil seal, and then insert the capsule into the Nespresso’s brew chamber.
What are the advantages of Capsul’in®? Capsul’in® is an empty capsule…full of qualities!
Save money: Without compromising on coffee quality, you can save up to 50% compared to the original.
An Eco-friendly alternative: Capsul’in® is made of recyclable plastic. So if you are looking for a greener capsule, Capsul’in® is the perfect alternative.
Unlimited choice of coffee: by buying your espresso coffee from your local or online coffee retailers, you have access to many different espresso coffees. You can use your favourite brand, buy Fair-trade, organic, single origin etc. or even mix your own blend. By having the choice, you also decide on the final price of your espresso!
Easy access: you can buy Capsul’in® from your preferred local coffee retailer or roaster just down the street. If your coffee retailer/roaster does not yet have Capsul’in®, please let us know by emailing us via our "Contact Us" page with their details and we will contact them.
Freshness: if you want the freshest coffee, again Capsul’in® is the solution. You can grind your own bean blend of coffee when you need it and use the Capsul’in® in your Nespresso® machine. The lower cost of coffee beans, the freshness and the convenience of the Nespresso® brewer is fantastic. Check the following video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSgq80DBSAU
Can I get the same result as with the original capsules? Yes – Do the “blind” test yourself: open an original capsule and empty the Nespresso® coffee into the Capsul’in® capsule, tamper lightly, place on the seal and espresso – do you taste any difference? This will also give you an idea of how little tamper pressure is required and how much coffee you will need per capsule, approx. 5 grams.
Choose your preferred espresso ground coffee and you will get a perfect espresso with the right “crema” on the top every time.
When I buy my espresso coffee, how fine should be the coffee ground? For the best espresso, ask your coffee retailer for “espresso ground”, meaning grounded at middle grade. For most professional grinders, it corresponds to the grade 3/4. If you have your own grinder, do not hesitate to make some tests. With the perfect ground, a light tamp and the espresso will come out perfectly. If the flow is restricted it means the tamping was to firm. If the flow is too fast and the coffee is a little watery the grind is too course or the coffee needs a firmer tamping.
How long does it take to prepare Capsul’in®? 10 to 15 seconds; just the time for your Nespresso® machine to warm up! It is fast and simple:
1. fill Capsul’in® with espresso coffee, tamp lightly, 2. apply the auto-adhesive foil
Store your espresso coffee in an air tight, dry-storage coffee container, so it is easier to fill Capsul’in® with coffee. You can also have a look at our accessories for our “CapsHold” (black plastic capsule holder/tamper in-one) which makes filling a lot easier. See: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIypUo2cQAc
Can I prepare my capsules in advance? For my weekly consumption for instance… Yes you can! Make sure that the auto-adhesive aluminum foil adheres well to the border of the capsule:
1. Press firmly on the circumference of the aluminum foil, or turn the capsule upside down and press the foil against the table. Store the pre-filled capsule in your fridge or a cool dry location inside an air tight, dry storage container.
How many capsules can I make with 250gr of espresso coffee? You will make 50 capsules. Approx. 5 grams of coffee per capsule.
Can I use Capsul’in® for other beverage? Yes. You can brew tea or infusion. In the UK, Capsul’in® is mostly used with tea.
Is Capsul’in® compatible with my new Nespresso® Pixie? Yes. Capsul’in® is compatible with all Nespresso® capsule machines included the latest Pixie.
Capsul'in® is not compatible with the Nespresso professional machine or built-in Nespresso machines with capsule carousels like the Nespresso® Miele® CVA series.
What should I do with my capsules after use? Just rinse and drop them in your household recycling rubbish like any other recyclable plastic.
